9 things about me
I write about Frisbees but that doesn’t mean I can throw one (unless you think I was aiming for that tree).
I have the perfect day job—elementary school librarian! I love to share and talk with kids about books.
I’m a hiker, soccer player, and collector of super balls and mini ice cream spoons. (I eat a lot of ice cream.)
I love to make things for my blog homemadecity.com, like paper shoes, cardboard cake and origami Frisbees.
My first book is called Mabel, One and Only, about a cartwheeling, one-foot-rollerskating kind of a kid.
I grew up in New Hampshire where I spent a lot of time cartwheeling and building forts in the woods.
7. Pippi Longstocking, The Secret Garden, and Harriet the Spy were my favorite books growing up.
8. I graduated from Cornell University and studied creative writing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
9. I live in Massachusetts with my husband, two sons, and a silly cat named Captain Wonderpaws.
I’ve never done that before so I should definitely be able to do that.
